Royal British Legion Industries was established in 1919 to help returning soldiers from the Great War, especially those suffering with TB, to recover and gain new skills. One of our earliest achievements was to open a new factory making wooden toys to give recuperating soldiers paid work. We are still manufacturing on the same site – over 100 years on – but today our factory, Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company, is a leading Social Enterprise, and the fastest growing sign manufacturer in the UK. 71% of our workforce has a disability or are former serving personnel. Alongside manufacturing we support people into employment and provide housing and care for veterans, their dependents and families.
Our mission is to improve lives every day supporting the Armed Forces Community and people with disabilities. The RBLI Ride with a veteran 2021 will mark and help highlight this remarkable Charity’s work and raise much needed funds to help this work continue for years to come.
